Why I am pretty happy with the FSU win:

Are we where we wanted to be at the beginning of the season? Absolutely not. This offense is still a dumpster fire.
Did we keep FSU in the game with bad passes, bad decisions, and lazy turnovers? Most certainly.
Did DJ go through his reads and make smart decisions with the football? Ehhh…maybe a little better. Maybe. Maybe not. From the plethora of mistakes I saw, he definitely needs to learn to throw the ball away on busted screen passes. There was one time (ONE TIME), where I saw him make a very obvious check down that the rb turned into a first down, so I guess that could be taken as progress.
Did Elliot call way too many wr screens? Yep
HOWEVER…
I saw an inkling of an identity in the offense yesterday. It probably won’t work against better opponents, but at least against teams of FSU’s caliber, we can run the football down their throats. And sure, we’ve been able to run the football in other games too. But this was the first game where it felt like the offense as a whole was really keying off of the running game’s success.
Yes, it was ugly. But I’m happy with the win, because it makes me hopeful that maybe, maybe the offense is kind of starting to figure itself out

If they are starting to figure it out, maybe they will get it figured out by the end of the season. That is great timing.

however.....I don't see an opponent in the top 15 we could beat even with the improvement you said you saw yesterday.

Another game like that and Shipley is on the sideline with Bresee the rest of the season. We are sacrificing awesome players for one inept player.
