since he expressed he wanted to come to Clemson? He scored 2 touchdowns against us. He was the only good receiver they had and they used him often. He was healthy for their last game. Who else had Grisham missed on?

A whole bunch of schools didn't offer him. He was a 3-star ranked down around 80-100 on WR lists.

Did we not check out his blistering speed. He would run circles around most of our guys. We did not seem to miss on receivers when Scott was the WR coach. Just saying.

You are cherry-picking individual players and saying Clemson's coaches failed in recruiting. The fact is, a LOT of coaches miss on prospects. That should be evident to you by the offer sheets of the players you are singling out.
We also don't offer just based on talent, as is well-documented. Culture fit is a factor. Roster size, by position, is a factor. Already-committed recruits is a factor - we won't over-recruit and then force "gray shirts" or push somebody off the roster.

It's well known that Dabo and his coaches do their own evaluations and don't use "recruiting ratings". And I would say it has served us well in the last 15 years or so.

He missed on Green Jr at UNC so we got Tyler Brown.

Green surprisingly did nothing at UNC. Think we ended up getting the better player.
I know we missed on one other pretty big one. But Green was the one that everyone was super disappointed about.

Josh Brown who played for NC last year and was their go to guy indicated he had wanted to come to Clemson also. Seems we are not doing a good job evaluating these guys whether they are 3 star or above. Another miss for Grisham I assume.
