I’m embarrassed at the lack of appreciation shown here for the man who brought two national titles to Clemson. Furthermore he loves Clemson. He is graduating players and loves being a great role model in that effort. He’s not only the winningest coach in Clemson history but also in the ACC.
I’m frustrated too. I hate losing. But give him time to adapt to the changes and challenges before him. Lane Kiffen can’t coach everyone everywhere but how many national championships has he won; much less at Clemson.
Have some loyalty and commitment. Some on here complain how 18 year olds no longer take commitments seriously when we as a fan base are doing even worse in that regard.
Give him a chance to make this right. It’s not helping getting on here criticizing his efforts, coaches, staff and some even his family. We are Clemson and we’re better than this.
Put the pitchforks and the torches away. There’s nobody out there to take this program from here and make it successful again. Let’s be the exception and give a coach a chance. If losing every year becomes a trend then I understand but one bad, very bad year does not represent a trend.

Being grateful for the past and doing what’s best for the future are also two different things. It’s why we don’t have lifetime contracts.
I don’t know if you are in business but no one cares about past results; they only care about the here and now.

We could have losing seasons every year until 2031, when his contract expires, and they wouldn’t care.

Not really. At major SEC programs the toxicity would be multitudes higher than it is at Clemson.
CDS has it really good at Clemson and it is perfectly normal for people to be asking questions. There are always outliers… Fans on the fringe… But all in all Clemson has one of the best if not the best fan bases and administrations in the country. Both are now asking needed questions.
The appreciation shown is via the contract. The issue is not with the fan base. It’s not with the Tigernet and it certainly isn’t with the administration. It is within….. here’s hoping he figures it out.

First, Dabo was younger and had a fire for the job.
Second, he was good at bringing in good coaches.
Third, he was a great recruiter who could create relationships with players and their families.
The questions now are, "Are any of those relevant anymore?" And if not, will Dabo adapt?

The times changed in 2020. He's had 5 years to adapt. I am not in the "Fire Dabo" camp, but i don't have faith that he will do all the major changes needed.

We are on the path of putting our 2 ....2 star players against 8 or 9 ...5 star players that are paid or not. We are not going to be able to continue to compete with that with these current rules. No one coach can do it all.....it has to come from other sources to make it truly fair.
We had a legitimate playoff system in place and those whining A-holes .. most from the SEC and a few from the Big Ten wanted more playoff spots..... basically just for them. It wasn't like that before.... thus the reason for Dabo's complacency and giving heart to hire inexperienced coaches and underdog players to put on this team....to play a game that has all of a sudden spiked tremendously into big business. There is a ton to fix for this administration and we need help from the NCAA to regulate this whole thing for the smaller programs..... which unfortunately includes us too... because our money is not generationally long like other huge programs. We will never get enough bake sales in the community to compete with what is going on right now.

Actually, Tigernet is the only place where I see the creepy Dabo worship.
The incredibly vocal minority resides here on this website.

I'm with you 100%. I'm as frustrated as anyone. Disappointed and angry at this years record. Dabo has made mistakes that have led us here. But I also believe he deserves the chance to remedy them. I know there are a lot of people who will call me "idiot" and worse but I would caution them. Firing a head coach is no guarantee. The next guy might be worse. Odds are he won't win fast enough, pretty enough for most. Then someone else comes in, rinse, repeat. Patience with Dabo should not be endless but he should be given at least a chance.

Ok it’s obvious we won’t all agree on this subject. It’s just like the Magats opinion versus my opinion of our current prez. We’ll never agree on that. And I won’t change my mind. Some here will never change their mind either.
I will say I do very much appreciate everything Dabo has done for Clemson and don’t think he should be fired at this time. I do think he loves Clemson and the way he does things IS the way it should be done. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work anymore and he is extremely stubborn. If he really loves Clemson he will do what’s best for Clemson. What’s going on now isn’t what’s best for Clemson. This has absolutely been going on for 5 years and he’s done a few things to make changes but it isn’t near enough.

He’s had his chances, what’s it gonna take to see he’s not the coach of what college football is today, I hate it, I don’t really like where it’s going myself, but hey I’m not getting paid 11 million dollars a year, so play today’s game, coach today’s players, or pack your s**t, he’s had ample time to conform, he hasn’t, fire him now!!! Yeah, I’ve got a team that hasn’t won a power 5 football game at home in more than a year! Only two wins are against Citadel and Troy. That has to be the worst streak in 25+ years! That should never happen at a place like this. Any CEO would be shown the door!

But I dont have any faith in him anymore. Why should I? He's biggest thing was recruiting. Dabo was a master recruiter. He's not anymore because NIL has drastically changed recruiting. He also isn't coaching the same anymore either. Before he hired quality coaches like Morris and Venables. Now it's friends and family with no experience. He refuses to embrace NIL or the portal. He refuses to adapt. So while id love to see Dabo's legacy end on a high not and he turns it all around, I dont see any logical reason that he can.
