Whose to blame? Scheme or players?

Let's look at the offense the last 2 years.
1. Every play seems so difficult.
2. The middle of the field is seldom used. Most passes are to the perimeter.
3. Receivers are never open.
4. No big plays. No deep throws.
5. Lack of easy plays. Every pass completion is contested. Good O coordinators find ways to out scheme the defense for some easy chunk plays throughout the game.
6. This one hurts. For 2 seasons Clemson's offense has been out performed by a bunch of teams with way less talent.
I believe Dabo will get it fixed. He knows what the problems are.

Everything should be blamed on the coaches IMO. If the players aren’t good enough then the coaches either failed evaluating talent or they have failed at developing them.

Both. Players need to mature, get stronger, and just get better. The schemes sucked as well.

A month ago, Cade wasn't ready. Now when it's time for his first start, the coaches put the game all on him. The game plan should have been %75 Ship&Mafah. I don't get it.

Like this comment boyardee in that it highlights a massive fundamental issue with our scheme and its reliance on mature, generational, NFL QBs. That is simply not sustainable.
To OP’s question, and what many on here have said, this all falls back to coaching. Players, scheme, yes. We’re not recruiting enough of the right players, at WR, in the trenches, and our off scheme is too narrow, has too little margin for error. Our incessant need to run the QB, out of the shotgun, 20x per game is beyond annoying. We’re also not physical enough at WR and on the line, which comes back to coaching, recruiting and development.
I wish all our coaches luck, regardless of their prior experience, and hope that privately they are more humble, honest and open to change than they appear to be publicly right now.

Agreed. It also seems that on Defense we put all our eggs into recruiting DEs and taking what we can get on the middle and backend ignoring that we need good LBs, Corners and Safeties. Just as you stated about generational QBs it's not a good plan long term.

a lot of tiger fans won't like this the last two years talent not as good better of linemen less time on defense players as for scheme OUT of the TOP SIX CFP TEAMS CLEMSON ONLY ONLY ONE WITH JUst one touchdowm in game!!!!!!!
