To the defense of that argument, racist torch rallies and violence to compensate for low socioeconomic stature is in fact the south's heritage.

What organization is this? What is their scope (ie, are they local or is this from all over the country?)? Did the news interview any of the participants to get their explanation for why they think this position is justifiable? Why UVA?
White Supremacists or Nationalists or whatever are not new, but I am struck by the fact that none of them are hiding their faces or anything. They seem quite comfortable with their beliefs, which is pretty surprising.
I'm also curious as to why they thought a nighttime even would be a good idea...unless their goal was to have trouble erupt.
A very sad spectacle.

they are in UVA to protest the removal of the General Lee statue from the campus. A lot opf them came dressed in home made riot gear, brought pepper spray and openly carried firearms, so I am sure they anticipated and/or were looking for trouble.

Alumni pompously call it "The University" because of its history tied to Jefferson, but you have to admit that it's pretty rad to have your school founded by one of the greatest Americans.

you are giving yourself a tad too much credit. and the irony is that these guys are protesting the removal of a statue on a campus that represents the liberal elite they feel they are being persecuted by and never would have stepped foot on otherwise.
