and will Yoda be in it? Old Luke, Baby Luke, Ghost Luke.....Black Luke? Looks like Old Harrison Ford is in it from the preview they just showed on MNF.
no links please, the last few have confused me out of really caring. I'll probably DVR it when it comes on HBO free preview weekend some day.
I'm sure there are some mega-geeks already camping out in some theater parking lot somewhere.

years ago, thinking I would turn them on to a super cool classic of my youth.
Man, it did not hold up well at all. Just a dreadful, stupid, tedious movie. My kids turned it off after 30 minutes and we played board games.

movie and the was for $1 at the Y Theater and we were fairly tanked when we went. I took Joonyer to whichever one of them came out when he was a kid (had that Jarhead Brinks character in it), but he didn't have any great interest in it either. I think I would have loved the entire series a lot more if Quentin Tarantino had written and directed it.

(or middle, or I don't really know which ones are which). The "newest ones", whatever they are. They've changed the titles and everything, so it's too convoluted to follow.
They lost me the first time when I went to see one of them back in the 80's and the movie ended like a to-be continued TV show, with Harrison Ford frozen in ice. You don't end movies that way, sorry.
The second time was with the newer series - they had this baddass new guy Darth Something (he was the red faced dude). He looked awesome, they had dolls and figurines of him in the store. Thought he would be the "new" Darth Vader character, so I went to see that one. Well, in the movie he was in it about 10 minutes and got whacked. Huh?
Won't get reeled in again.

movie and the time period between movie 2 and 3 was only like half a year plus at that point you knew there was going to be a 3rd.
And Darth Maul lasted until the end of the film not the first 10 minutes where he was taken out by Obi-Wan in fairly awesome fashion after taking out Qui-Gonn.
stop trying to be funny with gross inaccuracies.

but if you want to get convoluted. There were the Clone Wars animated TV series shows that had Darth Maul survive and become a half-machine type of thing.
You can't compare Star Trek and Star Wars. Star Wars is bigger than that, Star Wars is a mythology.

I found it to be too kiddish to be included in the lexicon of Star Wars. But I have a general understanding of what happens and how it relates to the saga. I think the overdid the clone wars to death though. It's only a 3 year period.
The clone wars series before the animated one was very good. It was also animated by not 3D. The introduction of general previous in that series was epic

What's ironic is Tarantino movies are actually pretty nerdy

[ in reply to and I love tarantino as much as anyone ] |

his mythology comes from obscure movies that only he and Scorsese have ever heard of and the way almost (if not all) of his movies are connected. Movie nerds love Tarantino. I'm betting there is a ton of crossover between Star Wars nerds and Tarantino nerds.
