there in January. We are flying to Vegas, couple days there, then a week at a time share in Sedona. So, with Sedona being our home base, what do we, as first time visitors to the area, not want to miss? Have Grand Canyon, Hoover ###, Red Rocks & Antelope Canyon on our list. What else in the area do we not want to miss? Will be driving from Vegas to Sedona, stopping by Hoover ###. Then maybe take a more northern route through Utah on return to Vegas. Suggestions, anyone? No kids, just me & wife, 60 years old & in good health.

But just google Utah National Parks and you'll see a bunch in the lower half of the state that are absolutely worthwhile

It's certainly one state that may not get enough credit for how much natural beauty is there. I would certainly go to Flagstaff. Not too far from Sedona and there are great breweries and shops. Also, it's more of a Colorado-type terrain with pine trees and snow on the ground several months out of the year. Humphrey's Peak is also a short drive from there. After that, the drive from Sedona to Phoenix is beautiful with epic terrain changes. In Phoenix itself, I would check out the view of the entire city from South Mountain and/or Camelback. Scottsdale and Tempe are great places with many restaurants and bars to choose from.
