I grew up in the 90's, so I don't know about ya'll

But I most certainly appreciate what, in my opinion, is the Golden Era of Clemson Football. It is right now. How many games have we lost in the last 5 years? Who have we beaten in the last 5 years? Yeah... stop acting like spoiled brats and enjoy the moment! Here's to that moment lasting for a long long time! Cheers and Go Tigers!

But our coaches don't know how to call plays and our QB can't throw. I am with ya brother. This team is great and we are going to go to the Natty 3 years in a row after losing 6 huge pieces to our O and the leader on our D. Gotta love it.

I would watch the vhs of the 81 Natty and dream of us getting back there. I remember with Bowden when getting in the top 25 was good. Having the chance to play to get into the acc champ was amazing. Now look where we are. It is crazy.

I didn't care about Clemson football(or any other sports) until I became a student in 1989 despite growing up in Easley. Before then the biggest impression it made on me was all the traffic that would come through town on home game Saturdays.
Just my luck Danny gets run off after my first semester there. My time following the Tigers was Hatfield and West with all of those blow outs to FSU and some losing seasons. To me Clemson football was "that team that wasn't as good as they were back in the 80's." By that 3-8 1998 season it seemed like it would stay that way.
The last three or so seasons, really the last 7, have been like a dream compared to the 90's. We've seen ACC Championships, BCS bowl wins over elite programs, playoffs, and even a National Championship won by a TD with a second to go.

was the Danny Ford years and a NC in 1981! I am now witnessing the second Golden Era of Clemson football- the Dabo Swinney years! Thank you for memorializing this grand time for the younger generation.

Danny Ford lead the FIRST Golderan Era of Clemson Football... but now Dabo Swinney leads THE GOLDEN ERA of Clemson Football. Dabo has surpassed Danny at this point IMO. Go Tigers!

There can never really be an apples to apples comparison

between the two eras, just like old time Hall of Fame stats for some NFL QB's wouldn't even get them consideration in the modern era. I am just thankful we got to the top of the mountain in '81, again in '16, and hopefully some more times very shortly!

I was just excited that Dabo immediately restored the fun to Clemson football after a few years where it seemed like a chore to go to the games. To regularly beat the likes of OK, OSU, ND and Bama on top of that is still almost like a dream!!
