I am fine with players calling out the "SEC timeout" phenomenon. It lacks honor. We should not have needed tempo to beat Syracuse though, and every other team knows you can no longer use it because of the SEC timeout. Why don't our coaches know this?

To be fair, the people who were mocking him as the top pick were smoking more than me and my buddies in my car after school long ago. If you had eyes you could tell Cade wasn't a top pick. I know I'm not supposed to say that as a Tiger fan but I'm sorry, he just wasn't.

I agree with you but like everyone else, I was under the impression that he had made further strides in the spring/summer & would be even more comfortable w/ Riley's scheme. Not to mention, 4/5 starters returning on the OL and top 4 WRs all returning.
It is truly baffling that he has not only regressed, but appears to be broken.

I think Cade is a fine young man. Like all young folks they sometimes say things that are ill advised. Cade may have a great career as a business man or in some other profession other than football. As of right now, he has played against 4 opposing quarterbacks. He has yet to play against one that he is better than ……. Or at least he has shown he was better than.

I’m telling you, the poison runs deep in this program. There’s no accountability. No one sits there and looks in the mirror and says yep I’m not playing well. There’s always an excuse now.
The only way to fix things is to clean house and then includes the head coach. As I said before he will not be fired, but I hope for our sake resigns.

I really think he’s most of the reason for 1-3. Plenty to go around, but he’s been the worst starting QB I’ve seen on anywhere this year. It almost looks the offense has quit on him, and he’s not accepted as a leader. Those millions probably make things worse for the guys on offense.

Seasons a mess now anyway. I say use the bye week to get Vizzina up to speed and start him. He needs to get real experience and at this point might be good for Cade to sit and watch for a little.

Happened multiple times in the second half.
After the initial Randall runs on the first drive of second half,
one of their DL guys went down quickly.
Later after a big first down completion....same exact thing happened.
Pretty sure those guys were back on the field soon after.
The timing was impeccable in both cases.
But that's not our biggest problem, or Cade's for sure.
He has to play better and our scheme has to help him do so.

I thought our tempo was actually pretty bad. Tons of check downs for the easiest possible play that Syracuse was giving us. The most meaningful miss was Cades terrible pass on 3rd down late in the game in tempo. I think we need to do a lot more of it, but it’s pointless when your QB can’t hit a wide open guy. Doesn’t help he was scrambling out of the picked for 75% of the plays in tempo.

He makes decisions too slow. It's what causes him to scramble half the time too. I've never seem him change a play off what defense is doing either - top that on always making the wrong decision on option plays.
Part of the fault is with dabo saying wouldn't consider benching him no matter how bad he plays. This is a 4-0 team if we had Syracuse or Georgia techs quarterback - I'm sure players are frustrated with him especially knowing he's making nearly 3 million playing so bad
