Which state produces the best athletes in football?

I believe S.C is a strong candidate as well as other southeast states. Now we need to get some of those athletic 300lb big boys to stay home and come to Clemson. That is a big part of Bama's claim to fame.

it's up there per capita I'm sure.
Still though, tough to beat out GA or FL in any year. GA, FL, TX and Cali. Those are pretty much your big 4 in general. SC produces a ton of talent considering it's size compared to those states though.

Not long ago the stats were released showing SC about #9. Not bad considering our small population.

very few top flight O lineman. Clemson gets its fair share of the DL that the state produces each year. Clemson has to go out of state to get OL every year. Not sure what the reason is that the state doesn't produce OL, could be HS coaching, could be the scheme that the HS run.

Jacksonville and the areas nearby, you could field a good foot ball team. Heck, if you started in the Ga. mtns. and recruited the nearby schools on 441 to Cairo, Ga., you could probably recruit a good team
