being shocked and outraged over this loss is pretty dumb. We were a 2pt road dog against that "bottom feeder" and losing wasn't surprising in the least.
The issue is that we were so bad in the non-con that we put ourselves in a position where we needed to go 12-6 or 13-5 in the ACC to get in the dance.
As much as he needs to improve the talent level, BB needs to figure out how to get the team playing in December. It's been a recurring theme during his tenure.

I'm not a pumper or a "dumper" when it comes to Brownell.
I think he's a fine coach - top half of the ACC. Think he's very underrated from a straight coaching standpoint. The big complaint about him, from most, is his recruiting, or lack thereof. This I can buy. Very few coaches have been able to recruit well @ Clemson Basketball. Where I do find a problem with him is the inexcusable pre-conference losses that seem to be an annual occurrence(s)
If Brownell can fix this issue, and step up recruiting a bit, he'll be fine.

this team just doesn't know what a bad shot is,
and doesn't have enough time left in the season to figure it out.
This is a very, very immature offensive basketball team
with a bunch of guys who can't quite figure out what their roles should be.
Maybe by next year some will grow into it....

^^^^Okay - you lost me there a little bit. That list of things that are wrong...well...I thought THOSE THINGS are the reason we have coaches. The coaches need to recognize those issues and fix them. So IMO, this loss has EVERYTHING to do with coaching.
Like I said after the BC "WIN", this CLEMSON BBall team is a solid NIT team, but will not go far in the NCAAT if they manage to squeak in. You guys must see a heck of lot more potential from this team than I can. But then, I'm not a coach.

Bb keeps recruiting players that all have the same style of play: slashers and spot up shooters. He has no legit post player, no sharpshooter, and no true point guard...and he's never had any of these players his entire time at Clemson. He is a mediocre recruiter that is just looking to fill his roster with kj and blossomgame types, but that won't get you to the dance. Ever. Opp had it figured out: booker, Mayes, rivers, Oglesby, etc. I like Bb. I really do. I'm rooting for him, but his team's will never meet expectations with this type of recruiting.

No, he is building a program the right way. Basketball program lack of success goes back a long time. B.B. is not the problem. I believe administration is finally beginning to move in the right direction and when B.B. has the tools necessary to compete against the basketball schools in the ACC, he will do just that.
