that something is different this year. I am all hyped up about this team's potential and the new offense and Cade running it. Love our backfield and think our WRs are out for redemption. I believe our OL/TE will take a step forward, our defensive front and LBs are the best in the country, and our secondary will be much improved.
Intellectually, I know all of this. Now, I just need to SEE it play out that way. I'd dying here waiting for Monday night.
Spot the ball and show me we are all correct about what this team WILL be. Go Tigers!

Not according to the majority of the national pundits. They see us as fading, as having been replaced by Michigan in the list of elite programs and replaced by FSU as the top program in the ACC: "The Tigers have lost their seat with the elites to Michigan, and they may well be surpassed in ACC supremacy by Florida State. (At least that seems to be the perception as the Tigers begin the year behind the Seminoles in the AP Top 25.)“ There’s a guy at CBS that says we’re the “biggest underdog”. After having won two national championships in the past seven seasons we’re now looked at as underdogs.
I’m sorry but that’s effed up. Like the original poster, I need to see it too. I want to see some of these all world 5-⭐️ recruits do something ON THE FIELD. Lookin” at YOU CAPEHART AND LEIGH!!! Going to the lake and having fun with coach is great… but it’s time to get serious and go KICK SOME A$$ DOING WHAT YOU CAME HERE TO DO. No more words… ACTION.

They aren't as vocal about Alabama but they are hinting at the passing of the torch to UGA, and that Saban is losing his magic touch to Kirby. It is kind of funny how just a couple of good or so-so years changes the perspective on an entire body of work.
I feel like ALA and CLEM come into the season with alot of "show me" hanging over them. And I also thing both programs will rise to the occasion.

compared to our national championship teams.........of course talking heads will doubt us, how can you blame them???.........2018 was FIVE YEARS AGO.........A LOT has changed and can change in College Football in five years.
Clemson needs to prove themselves again.

We've only missed the playoffs the last 2 seasons (after 6 in a row) and the reasons are well documented. I THINK we have addressed a lot of the past 2 years of issues but we have to see it in the execution on the field.

Narrative at ESPN on Clemson & Cade Klubnik

has been neutral to slightly negative. I spoke to David Pollock for a minute or two in Jan at the Savannah QB Club. He was polite and friendly, and I'm a fan of his on-air demeanor, but Pollock said he was not real high on Klubnik. (Appreciate his openness and he's too big to argue with. No hard feelings.) Mark Schlabach, another UGA ESPN hire, has written the same. My take is Cade will throw some INT's and take some sacks, like DW4, but again like DW4, he will get up and roll the opposition. Very optimistic on Tigers in 2023 for a one-loss to undefeated season with a solid playoff shot.
ESPN is definitely all in on SEC again this year. And UGA should go into SEC Championship undefeated.
Go Tigers!

If he has some "rough" moments, I also think Riley can "coach him through it".

I’m not sure how anyone can say yea or nay on a guy with one start as a freshman. Pollock knows more football than I will ever know but would like to know what he is gauging his intel on.

We should be thankful for the doubters. They provide incentive when some allow complacency to set in. It happens to the best of teams.
If you were to ask Nick Saban if a certain amount of complacency has perhaps come to roost in Tuscaloosa, I think he would answer , though grudgingly, yes.
We have been noticeably absent from the playoffs but remember this.
Absence makes the heart grow fonder.
