The man speaks to everyone that comes into that BiLo eventually. Whether they are there for the show or just to buy milk. I've never met a more friendly guy who is more comfortable with folks than Dabo. It is literally a joy to watch him work a room. His wife is equally good with people too.
Very nice article

I can personally vouch for how kind the Swinneys are...

I have had the pleasure to meet Coach, his wife and his brother Tracy and they are all very solid individuals. I have the pleasure every year to work on materials for the All In Ball and the football camp. I take a great deal of pride in that work not only because of the wonderful causes supported but I am a Tiger fan and I want everything to look perfect.
I met Coach at Bi-Lo and introduced myself as the "behind the scenes guy", so to speak and he was very receptive and thanked me for my hard work. He told me to make sure I spoke with Kathleen if I ever had the chance. I had the chance to meet Kathleen at fan day and when I introduced myself she hugged me and told me Coach had told her about meeting me. She was very genuine and even introduced me to several others she was walking with. We as Tiger fans are very fortunate to have the Sweeney family on our side! Go Tigers!!

sometimes character is huge. I know we have not won all the games we wanted to but, I know Dabo and Kathleen have done it the right way. I know we are never slighted or taken for granite by the Swinney's.

For the one's of us that had to listen to all the BS about our Tigers in the 80's only want it done the right way. And I personally believe that if there is any behind the scenes going on at Clemson, Dabo Swinney don't know a ### thing about it. And I personally believe that Dabo would fire one of his coaches on the spot if he learned of any shady crap going on behind his back. No matter what coots or any other program that thinks or feels that Clemson is dirty. They have no idea of how absolutely wrong they are. You can win without cheating as Dabo is doing. Put together a great staff and recruit great kids with great character, and spot the ball, we can win with what we have brought in. Gooooo Tigersssss!!!

Understand the sacrifices she has to make. I'm happy that our coach has a great woman like Kathleen supporting him. There's been many times where I complain to my husband when he has to go recruiting, but he always says "would you want Dabos wife to give him a hard time when he has to go recruit?" Of course I say no and he's on his way! Thanks Kathleen for your sacrifices in making our team successful!

Thanks, that is a great story. We had a lot of fans that were dead against Dabo getting the HC job at Clemson. And we hear a lot of those same ones now saying that they had faith in Dabo. And they say that b/c they don't want to admit how wrong they were about the man that pulled a team that had everything they had work so hard to do that year snatched away from them in the first game by Alabama, AKA Bama. There were a good many fans that believed if Dabo was given a fair enough chance, that he would do a good job at Clemson. I am one of those that prayed that Dabo would be successful. His first full season wasn't even close to what we were looking for, and it was embarrassing to say the least. I knew, and so did the ones of us that wanted Dabo to succeed that another year with Billy Napier as OC, and Dabo would be finished at Clemson. Billy Napier was a good guy and Dabo wanted to give him a chance, but not at the risk of his job his second full season. I know it had to hurt Dabo deeply to fire Billy b/c of the kind of character that Dabo has and they were good friends. But I'm also sure that Billy understood. Then there was all the bashing of Dabo over the hiring of (oh no, not a ### HS coach, fire Dabo) The Chad. Now those same fire Dabo crowd are praying that The Chad will stay forever. Some are even wishing for the The Chad to become our HC. But not me b/c, I love Dabo, and I love what Dabo has brought back to our Clemson Tigers. And that is the courage of how to win by never giving up. The exact same thing that Danny Ford had taught our Tigers to do when he became our HC without any experience ( If I remember correctly, Danny was our OL coach before the HC) just as Dabo. I think that Danny Ford's first four full years was 35 wins with a National Championship. And Dabo's record after four full seasons is 36 wins with a win over LSU of the mighty sec. It's not a NC, but it's pretty dog gone close. Everything will have to fall in place almost perfectly with a ton of luck but, Dabo has a slim chance, but a chance to win a National Championship for Clemson in his fifth full season at Clemson. And Danny's and Dabo's records are almost identical. So right now today June 25 2013, are there still any Clemson fans embarrassed of Dabo being the HC of our Clemson Tigers. I'm sure as H&ll not, but I've never been embarrassed of him. He has gotten himself out there in the public eye as being off the wall a few times. But that's just Dabo having the time of his life. And doing it proving all the naysayers wrong about his abilities and winning FB games that they have said he could never do. After all, Dabo was just a run of the mill real estate salesman and a lowly wide receivers coach. And that TDP was out of his freaking mind when he hired Dabo Swinney to coach at a school with such a proud history and tradition as OUR CLEMSON TIGERS.
P/S There are a lot of Tigers on this board and other boards that has admitted that they were wrong about Dabo in the beginning. And those are strong men that can admit that they have misjudged someone character and abilities. But we do have some that would never admit they were wrong and misjudged Dabo. Those types would choke to death on their words back then before we would ever hear them say they were wrong about the man that we have all learned to be a good man and a ### good Head Coach for Clemson Football.
