Is that you Walt D.? Just kidding I hope you are right. I am afraid there are too many things going on with our offense this year to show massive improvement but I do think DJ will start improving a little each week going forward.

We KNOW DJ has good stuff. We KNOW this coaching staff has good stuff.
They can't be perfect all the time. Give it time to gel.

If they score more than 12-14 points I guess he’s stepping it up. Tiger fan my whole life, but he’s the worst QB I have ever seen start for Clemson. Yes I think Stoudt was better. Someone recently stated the opinion that it feels as if the players don’t like him. I agree. Imagine being Jamie Skalski and seeing that guy rake in the dollars and wear those suits. It has to be a distraction. This is my opinion and if you don’t like it or agree I don’t care. Just the way I see it.

Yes they did with 100% raw talent recruited and developed by Danny Ford. UGA was really down then too. The Ray Goff years.

True enough. It can be difficult for a new coach to get the players' support. Hatfield went 32-13-1, with 3 bowl appearances and three ranked teams. It might have gone a bit better in his last two years had the Clemson administration given half a horse_____. Mostly opposition from the Tiger fans also. His teams were competitive. West years? A complete train wreck.

My co-worker played QB at Furman. Each week he points out all the issues with DJ.
His other major issues is you get 2.5 seconds to stand the in pocket. DJs has no internal clock. He just stands there.
Also see that DJ has no mobility. He can't cut. It's laughable. He's like a statue out there that only goes in one direction.
We're not fixing any of that midseason.

DJ looks a lot like the guy I saw play in the championship game in California a short while ago. That guy got smoked. Yes, it was DJ, he had no clue in that game.

Hope you are right. I think his biggest opportunity for improvement will be coming back next year. After he loses 20 lbs and gets quicker, improves his really bad footwork, practices putting touch on passes, improves accuracy, works every day all summer with our receivers, and is truly pushed by a legit backup QB. That’s when I expect to see real improvement.

I believe In DJ too! The talent is there. I saw enough as a freshman to know it’s there.
