My wife got me a navy Clemson shirt with orange tiger paw for Christmas. She said I needed to mix it up. I know it was used instead of purple but what years was it used and when did Clemson go back to purple? Thanks!

That article. Yes, the orange britches should be used for big games only. However, the purple is a cool alternate, and the players do love the purple uniforms. Personally, I think the purple jerseys with white pants is a classy look. I wish the team would wear that combo on military appreciation day from time to time.

After attending the Citrus Bowl against Cal, the general consensus from Tiger fans was to never see purple again
