Whats the reasoning behind Clemson not playing BC next year?

Are they tinkering with divisions? Not really fond of BC but thought it was odd we don't play a division opponent at home next year. We play 4 division opponents and 5 coastal opponents (if you include ND in that tier.)

Is let this year the last year for divisions in the ACC? I believe starting next year we go to the schedule where we get to play all teams in the conference over a 4 year span with o my 3(?) permanent conference rivals.

I could be wrong, but I know it is being changed to this in the near future.

That is correct LemonTiger. There are no divisions starting 2023. The 2 teams with the best conference records will play for the championship. As you stated, that will allow each team to play each other more often. Clemson is locked in with GT, FSU and NC State every year (for now) but the other conference games will vary home and away from season to season.

Next year will be first since divisions were formed that Clemson will play all four NC schools.
