Especially considering most of the runs were between the tackles and he hadn't played in a month. I know he got hurt on a non-contact injury, but you want to them ease a True Freshman QB in regarding the run game after such a long layoff. He's not built like Boyd yet. He's already had a collarbone injury and doesn't quite have his man body yet. Oregon's QB is not built like a truck either, but he's at least been through 4 years of College weight training.

Mariota is 6-4, 220 pound junior. DW is 200,soaking wet true freshman. DW carried it 8 times in the 1st quarter. That's 32 for the game, more than most running backs.

I seebDW looking like MM in his time with us. I think he will be the first qb we have had that will run the true read option instead of predesignated calls on the read option. It will be fun to see. CM said the calls were multiple and DW had a run/pass option so it wasn't on CM that he ran as much as he did.

game and call plays based on the way they were playing us. A QB can get hurt in the manner Watson did simply by dropping back and/or moving around in the pocket.
