ALL ACC teams have D1 athletes on their sideline. The difference between an FSU and Clemson is a slim margin. The difference between a Clemson and Wake is also a slim margin.
Beat 'em by two TDs despite spotting them 14 on mistakes.
LAWD! That's a solid win!

David, please try to think about the statement you made. While I never suited up as you brought up, I certainly know skill and talent when I see it and it was evident all night in the game. Man for man we were the much better team, yet it was tied going to the 4th quarter. Why? Mistakes for huge, giving 14 points but the 14 point differential came very late with game in question after 3 quarters. We lost TO margin 2-0 which would make you believe it was more like a 4 TD win, nothing could be farther from the truth as until Gallman broke the 30 yard run the game was still in question.
That should not happen, thankful for the win but highly worried about some efforts that were lackluster. Playing down to competition is an ugly cancer on a team, thankful to get the victory over a gritty Wake team. Happy with the win but know we are SOOO much better than we played in front of a huge national audience.

The refs helped them all they could, but make no mistake, those were men who had a lot of pride. Unless you strapped on a helmet and went head-to-head in D1 competition, you just don't know. We might have had a STEP on them to the man, but they played with heart and a chip on their shoulder. This was their bowl game. They played over their heads.
Yes, we made mistakes. The refs did, too. And I will take a 14-pt win any day with the weather and everything else.

Don't be coy friend, I have plenty of ideas and one for you right now. Those are mostly big boys playing a game in which Clemson is superior in every category. Do you not agree? Still interested in Son comment, is it some type of coping mechanism ?

angry with officials who threw Robert out of game after a review that showed a hit in chest area and his head was turned and did not make contact with receiver... Main source of my disgust, not meaning to carry this over to your post... I just feel we played to the level of our competitor, and yes I did play at the next highest level to college which I realize us a far cry from NCAA.

kind of like how close a guy that runs a 4.5 is to a guy that runs a 4.8
its only three tenths of a second
makes a big difference in the outcome of a foot race
its slim...but talent matters...fsu has more...wake has less

The difference is a step. Over 40 yards. Just a step.
If there had been no wind, I would have been a bit critical of Cole. With those conditions, and given the ST turnover that led to a TD, I'll take this win EVERY time.

This year. I get your point, but this years team has played one great game all year ( nc state). It would be nice to play a complete game. Hopefully it will come against the coots. I am happy with the win, nervous about our inconsistency.

You also have to remember the 85 scholly rule has helped bring about "parity " as Tommy Bowden would say. Throw in a few injuries and voila .

games now, too. it goes both ways. not many teams in 1-A have been hit harder with the injury bug this year than we have.

They have each had their ups and downs since that limit came into effect . No longer can you have 125 on scholarship and another 25 walk ons .
