destroying itself is now when we see a post by a four or five star recruit referring to a team that was prominent in his recruiting, but has not performed as expected, say basically, “As I have always said, I know they are having a rough start but I love the school and coaching staff. They have definitely not been eliminated.” This translates to, “My agent is soliciting ‘Best and final bids” from my top five.

Just accept NIL, watch some of the great games broadcast every week and you will be forced to admit that college football is college football.

Just accept everything huh and don't use critical thinking to decide whether or not it's still the sport for you?

Unfortunately the NCAA is worthless as an organization. They have completely abdicated any real guard rail to the portal. I bet someday soon, actually the federal government is gonna step in and try to do just that. Not that I think that should instill any confidence in wise choices. Just I bet that they will try.

Yea, I thought that College presidents were the overseers of the NCAA, if that is true, why don't they scrap the current overpaid, underperforming and spinless NCAA leaders and start over again? Seems like the same old Farters are kept just to collect their paychecks. So who is more to blame for the state of college sports, especially football...the NCAA or College Presidents?

Nah. The courts did that. And courts continue to disallow the NCAA from enforcing any limitations at all. All because SCOTUS applied employment law to people who are not employees.
