I am assuming Riley has the authority to clean house, if he wants.

They may have talked about it, but Dabo hires and fires, not the OC.

That would be the wrong assumption. The buck stops on Dabo's desk.

he's not the head coach. He didn't have that authority at TCU. He doesn't know the coaches he'll be working with. You don't change coaches over the summer.
I'm not going to say we don't see a move after Streeter, but I think it's highly unlikely. The emphasis now will be getting the whole offensive staff on the same page in learning the new system.

Right. I think they all get a year with the new OC.

An OC who is heavily involved as he should be could push a guy like Grisham to do a better job. If his offense isn’t working because the WR aren’t blocking…he’s not going to just accept that.

on offense that needed changed. All these guys played in varying systems, Spiller and Grisham in the NFL. Richardson ran air raid as a high school coach. I think Dabo just decided the system overall hindered everything around it

If he watches game tape, Riley will learn what he needs to know. It's all about player performance and effort.

That is the other position that has to improve! Now with Scott returning, he may help Tyler get the receivers up to snuff and land some Tee, Mike, Nuk, and Ross clones, but if not I think we see a move at the WR spot! The RB's recruiting has got to get better, you can't miss on every single one of your top 7 or 8 on your board, especially at a place like CLEMSON!

In practicality, they get some consideration or they tellthe coach they are not coming unless they get to bring joe and jack.....depends on situation and circumstances and personalities...

Did you see the immediate improvement in WRs when the QB change was made?
How could the WRs possibly look well-coached when the previous wasn't capable of getting them the ball.
Grisham isn't going anywhere. Watch the WRs numbers take off with the new QB and offense.

I saw us relying on Cole Turner as a #1/2 option and Drew Swinney getting plenty of meaningful snaps.
I did see a QB that was putting more balls where guys can catch them, but i also still see a mediocre group of WRs out there that lacks elite play makers like we had from 2011-2019.
The majority of the blue chip WRs we've signed over the last 4 years have been busts, transferred out, or both. The buck has to stop with someone. Maybe Dabo is taking the blame himself rather than putting it on Grisham, but something has gone wrong at that position.

We all know GR and Dabo had the discussion about the staff already. Dabo has the final say and GR can make his case. I would say few changes are likely initially unless GR had someone he worked with that he really wanted to bring with him. Again, Dabo would have to approve it if that were the case.

A guy with the market value of GR isn't going to just come in and be stuck with a staff that isn't his. He's going to make it a condition of taking the job that he gets to bring certain coaches. If he didn't do that... wow. There are 20 other colleges that would have hired him at OC and said bring whoever you want.
