Also what Pateeti is talking about is what it TOOK, past tense, to become a B1G member. Just because they used a set of criteria to invite the 4 most recent members doesn’t mean it’ll be the same requirements when/if they decide they want anyone new.

To me, that's a political correct answer that if you didn't know, could be any president, AD, or commissioner of any conference in America.

Wouldn't look good to say, we're looking at the bottom dollar. How much money can we generate per school because we need the max number of eyeballs to generate x amount for each school. It's Really not complicated.

If your point is to try and get Clemson into the B1G, it probably won't happen. We really don't generate eyeballs or money. That's why my opinion has always been, Clemson isn't going anywhere. Unless we go to the b12 and try to generate more money.

lol the Big12. Yeah, let’s go join a bunch of castoffs. That’ll generate more revenue.

Well CASD, try looking at the Big 12 teams Top 25 in basketball and then look at the final rankings in football that show the ACC had 5 ranked teams. We are not going anywhere.

That’s my point. If the Big12 is our only option we aren’t going anywhere.

The Big 10 has shown clearly that they want geographic coverage of the US. Since football is the $$$ king, Clemson and Fla State would bring in huge TV and other marketing revenue. I’ve heard Va and UNC mentioned, but their football worth is no where near Clemson’s .

SEC or B1G expand again. Also, don’t sleep on GT.

We could be like Oregon or Washington in having to lobby and fight to get in at a reduced revenue.

Why in the world would the Big10 or any other conference want to deal with more than 18 members?

They really don’t want to, but Fox is running things. Fox needs content, actually better content, and an opportunity to sub license content to NBC and CBS. The Big10 presidents didn’t really want Oregon and Washington, but Fox saw the opportunity so there they are ready to become Big10 members. ESPN needs to protect against losing viewers to Fox, so the competition to keep building larger conferences won’t stop.

Seems like we have all those attributes. But we can't get out of our ACC chains.
