No. The point is that the Tigers under the leadership of Brad Brownell are the 3 seed going into the ACC tournament. That’s not a bad achievement is it?
Go Tigers!

Hey!
If the coots can get 5th place rings, we can have a 3rd place banner.

Media predictions, again…lol.
Make the tournament and win it. We are done with the down play your team in pre-season and celebrate routine after 13 years.

It doesn’t. UNC was pre season # 1. Let’s try revisiting how often the media gets it wrong.
After 13 years this is what we are hanging our hat on?

That is true. Just figured that since Brad is such a great coach that the media would realize it.

Let's visit the post ACC tournament results. I honestly hope you are crowing like Cocky on meth.
Most of us here want the Tigers to be successful even if that means Brad is retained which I believe he will be. I had hoped to make a change several years ago, but it's hard to pull the trigger based on a 14-6 record in the ACC and 3rd seed, no matter how down the conference is.
Go Tigers! See you next year Brad--ugh.

To start this look back. We are one game away from missing the NCAA tournament again and heading to the NIT. Thereby making most of the preseason expectations for Clemson accurate.

annually to the ACC media writers on a regular basis, and the sports world at large, low pre-season league rankings is our norm.
How have we fared in the past when we've actually entered the season with higher expectations following a decent season? Like 6th in the ACC or better pre-season? Looking back at the lack of sustained achievement from one season to the next, we all know that answer.

Not only that, most of the geniuses on here actually picked a worse finish for us than the pundits.
Of course they will never admit that they were very wrong.... I mean very wrong. They continue to spout bs and complain about brownell.
I don't care if the ACC is down. If you predicted that Clemson would finish 10th or worse, you are a terrible evaluator of talent, and know nothing of Clemson basketball.

We lost to two of the worst teams in the country out of conference. YAY!
Look at this schedule - it's embarrassing. In order by NET ranking. Is there any P5 school in the country with a worse OOC schedule and results?
Iowa (NET 37) - LOSS Penn St (56) - win Towson (133) - win Richmond (153) - win South Carolina (229) - LOSS USC Upstate (256) - win Bellarmine (258) - win Loyola-Chicago (270) - LOSS California (312) - win Loyola-MD (320) - win Citadel (331) - win

Not only that - he actually commenting in another thread (of his creation) that before the season our OOC schedule looked far more competitive. Both acknowledging that it sucked and that dumpers had reason to believe we would have done worse. Now add in that we were told all off-season Hall was unlikely to play until December and I wonder why some of us might have been so negative.

Methinks you are lying outright about anyone on here saying we'd finish worse than 11th in the ACC this year. Brad's resume should speak for itself without having to add BS to the mix, no?
Folks on here largely saw our incredibly attractive schedule that minimized the powers and doubled up on the lessers.

I hope the Tigers win 1, 2 or 3 more ACC games and get in the NCAAT automatically, but what does it matter if the Tigers were predicted to be 11th, finished 3rd in the regular season and do not make the NCAAT? Nothing, because either way, the end result is the same.
My last comment on this subject is that everyone is freaking out about the basketball team maybe not getting making the NCAAT but many of the same didn't want the football team in the CFP because they believed the Tigers weren't good enough. Does that work both ways? SMH
