What if the ACC could pull in

Jul 1, 2022, 11:32 AM

Notre Dame, Cincinnati, West Virginia and Penn State. Would this make the ACC a super conference or just one with 16 teams.
A super conference could renegotiate a new contract to equal the SEC/Big.

Why do people keep bringing up Penn State? Why on earth would they possibly leave the B1G?

Also, rumors are currently flying that ND is moving toward the B1G as well, and that the already have the thumbs up from boosters and board.

If Clemson does not join the SEC. Clemson is over.

Remember that IF the ACC could pull this off I think they could demand a contract in line with the BIG. Also it would give the ACC Clemson, FSU, Miami, ND and Penn State as marque names of college football.
Also NC State is starting to build a football program along with Wake Forest.

NC State and Wake are building a program?

Sadly, ACC had nothing to offer Penn St

Jul 1, 2022, 11:38 AM

We do not have a counter move. Its B1G/SEC or bust.

If we had a sugar daddy like Phil Knight or some such we could go independent.

Why would PSU leave a conference making $101 Mio to get $60 Mio?!

I enjoy talking about expansion, but let's speak realistically.
