For you conspiracy theorists, here's the truth...

If we win out, we are in. Period. Step away from the ledge and stop posting nonsense. We are #1 and have games against a ranked FSU team and will have another game vs. a ranked team in the ACCCG. There is NO WAY the committee drops us out of the Top 4, especially with other Top 10 teams beating up each other from here on out. It's as simple as that. If we lose, we won't get in and, quite honestly, most likely don't deserve to get in. All four teams control their own destiny right now. Baylor or TCU-- should one of them win out-- will take the place of LSU or Bama. End of debate.
Now, let's go out and take care of business... starting this Saturday at 3:30.

AMEN......beat everyone and control what you can control

End of story. What the Tigers can control is Clemson. Worrying about all of this "don't get respect", conspiracy BS makes us sound like whiny kids that cannot join the cool club. Win out and everyone can go pound sand while they are pulling orange helmet paint off off their #####.

WRONG! Bama doesn't control their own destiny...

If Ole Pi $$ wins out, they will supplant Bama because they won the head to head match up and will therefore be the SEC Best's playoff team.

Yes it does. Maybe not as a general maxim in any given year, but THIS year, based on 8-9 weeks of the season playing out, where everyone else falls, and our outlook going forward, we are in if we win our. Simple as that.

I'm hoping Ole Miss wins the $EC Championship....

which would effectively eliminate Bama, LSU, and Florida from consideration and give us a CFB playoff without a team from the $EC.

I am 100% aware of that fact....just using it as an example

It is still a beauty contest......and old money trumps the nouveau riche.
I also feel the committee will try and make up for leaving out TCU/Baylor last year

So if you know we don't play VT...

logic dictates that's a bad example.
Ohio State lost to Virginia Tech last year and still won the National Championship. They just lost early enough in the season so they had time to play their way back into consideration.
Generally speaking, an early loss isn't as detrimental as a late season loss.

Getting back around to checking my tnet......
Ohio State is a perfect example....they may have won it but they didn't deserve to be there in the first place.
Like I said.....let us lose a game we shouldn't .....we will never get back to the top. That is the facts of life in CF

if they were going to provide a "do over" for tcu/baylor then they sure hosed them last night. they have to fight their way to top four with their heinous scheduling. my guess is that at least one if not both tcu/baylor lose a game. oklahoma, ok state, baylor, and tcu are going to eat each other up. and if baylor loses to kstate saturday - its over for them

What exactly DID the committee do last year to a 13-0 team
Nov 10, 2015, 6:15 PM
[ in reply to I'm glad you feel so confident ] |
|
... with a Top-5 win and two Top-20 wins?
Was a team with that resume left out of the play-offs last year?
If we WIN, we're IN.

if we don't make the playoffs, it's because we lost..NOT because of "conspiracy".
no idea why some folks would rather wallow in eeyor'ish self-pity than just enjoy these days.

TCU just lost this past weekend to Oklahoma State so they won't be in anybody's playoff this year. Just wanted to let you know about that....

past FSU.
We WIN, we're IN ... we LOSE we're OUT.
From this point forward, that's ALL that needs to be said.
