the players are.
They are playing to the best of their ability when on the field, and doing what they are trained and motivated to do. Give their best.
Running up the score is when you're up 50 and on the goal line with a minute left, and you decide to score instead of kneel. Then, it's a coach thing. Only then.

He was being sarcastic and he was fully in his lane. The lanes are wider on T-Net than in most places

Ditto, Tigertoo! I know quite a bit about football, as well. What a dumb comment on his part. I am thinking Dabo was giving the younger players some playing time. It is hard to put those guys in and tell them not to score if they happen to intercept the ball.

When Feaster and Fields are scoring TDs, we can safely assume the coaches aren't running up the score. If they left DW4 and MW7 in thru the 4th and let em keep posterizing the BC secondary, then that's another matter. These were backups...and they were STILL trouncing people one on one.

You didn't hear the commentator say, "Clemson's backups are just a lot better than BC's" once we kept scoring with all the starters out?

There were a lot of situations in the game that were practicing for a game we may have to do it. Even the drive before the half from the 17 with under 2 mins to go, good to see them not take a knee into the half up 18.
