Choice and other frosh

Before we jump to conclusions, let's take a minute. Hardly Not a one of us has seen more than a ten second clip of choice running at this level. Same thing with gallman. He even shied away from contact on gurleys kick return. Now from what I have seen, Davidson looks like the best RB.
Scott needs to play more. The rest of the receivers looked good. We need someone else on punt return. Also for the Adam haters he didn't get any normal targets. But since he is the best blocking WR he doesn't need to be catching the screens. Remember Syracuse?
Deshaun Watson needs to play some but I'm not ready to throw in the towel on stoudt.
Also I think the D will end up ok too.

D is already more than ok. They held UGA to under 120 yards in the 1st half. In the second half, our offense gained 15 yards, and yet the defense still kept it a 3 point game until midway through the 4th when they finally were completely gassed. Not to mention UGA got the ball with awesome field position the entire game, and for the most part the defense was strong. I for one think our defense was the only reason we were even in that game as long as we were.

What do you mean he didn't get any "normal" targets?

I dont remember that, however, I definitely dont recall any drops by him. People were criticizing him for not getting a lot on the screens. Those screens were called at an inopportune time and the receivers didnt block for him. Tell me when they threw to him in the endzone and he didnt catch it because of his own doings.

I liked what I saw from the kids. They will get plenty of work this weekend. Davidson ran the ball well. Howard wasn't great, but he is going to be a big part of this team. Gallman will get his shot as will Dye and probably Choice. I was really impressed with Scott and Kitt. I'm not worried about the D. They will be fine. Crawford and Peters are very good for the rotation.

If Gallman and Choice aren't better than the current RBs

then we have an issue with recruiting/coaching. Nothing I've seen from Howard or Davidson tells me that they should be irreplaceable.

Watson has IT. The it you can't coach but you know when

you see it. I would not play him less than 50% of the game and let the season take whichever course it takes.

I can agree with that. I find it interesting that Morris called Stoudts interception the receivers fault. I understand that it may be so but the throw looked ill-advised anyway.

The replay makes it seem like that's the case, but

we don't really know if the receiver was supposed to do something else on the route based on the coverage, and maybe Cole was anticipating that.

I was impressed with CJ. Kid has size / speed and to my non- coaching eyes appears to not be a jitter bug and makes pretty good cuts. He had one play near our own end zone where he was akmost tackled near the two but reversed field, turned in the jets, and made something out of nothing.

Starting Offense should be as follows:
QB: Stoudt RB: Davidson (Gallman 3rd down RB) WR: Peake WR: Williams WR: Hopper/Scott TE: Leggett OT: Battle/K. Davis OG: D. Beasley C: Norton OG: Guillermo/K. Davis OT: K. Davis/J. Gore

Not a bad lineup

I'd like to see Choice run the ball before he's left off the offense completely though.
And take Gallman off of special teams. He was good with the ball in his hands but he looked really bad on special teams, especially on Gurley's TD.

Look What Was Done ----

Georgia had freshman backs and receivers and some that were a smidge older that only had high school experience... and they still played and played well. Most of them were more productive than Marshall. So why we couldn't play ours. I'm sure they know at least 15 to 20 plays by heart.
Its different when being hit by a 220lb dude than tackling one coming right at you at 30mph. The mindset is just different. The position Humphries is in is supposed to be Sammy's old spot. He is not suited for that for an entire game.

there are players that you don't need to "see" at this level

cj spiller's HS clips and sammy watkins HS clips told me everything i needed to know.
deshaun watson is/was the same way and the little window he had (no pun intended) he took advantage of it and showed he's a "spiller" at his position
5star skill players are ready to play from the time they step foot on campus the vast majority of the time.
and the choice/gallman thing........sorry but howard doesn't have the talent to play that position effectively.

Humphries

If he is the best blocker we have out there at wr, why not let him block on those screens. It seems simple enough to me.
On at least one wr screen, Hopper was blocking for him. Didn't make sense to me.

I agree that humphries should be used as a blocker. He also is a good WR just needs to be used right.
