We've given up a defensive TD in 3 straight games.

That's a serious issue. If we hold onto the ball, Syracuse and BC games are not close when we get to half, and we likely have at least a TD lead on ND when the 4th quarter starts.

We didn't give up a defensive TD against Notre Dame.

The player was tackled short of the end zone and the refs awarded them a participation trophy TD anyway.

Point is still that our offense gave up 10 points due to fumble inside own 20 and fumble inside own 30.

That funble was not ETN's fault...

The OL didn't block (at all) and DJ should have never pitched the ball. Just eat it and live to play another down.

See those kind of turnovers when TL16 returns to the lineup.

Yes the fumble is ETN's fault. Just because somebody may hit you after you catch the pitch does not excuse you from catching it.
It was a good clean pitch and the defender was not yet making contact when the ball hit his hands.

I disagree. The timing of the pitch was poor. The defender was very very close to the back when it was tossed to him. In fact, the defender caught the ball in flight.watch the replay.

Saying that the defender was close to him and saying that the fumble is not ETN's fault are two very different things.
If ETN catches the ball and is tackled for a 5 yard loss, you can say it's not ETN's fault.
Dropping a ball that hits you in the hands is your fault, not matter how close the defender is to our player.
Everyone seems to think it's always Ladson's fault even when he is diving in traffic trying to make a catch.
I know the defender caught the ball in flight because by some amazing feet of physics, two weeks in a row, ETN managed to projectile fumble the ball. He hasn't just dropped them, but he has pushed them away from himself to prevent being able to get the ball back. Both of his last two fumbles have been extremely odd and untimely plays.

Agree though, it wasn't ETN's fault. More experienced QB

You are correct. Same thing for all those who bashed ETN on the BC fumble. Sorry he missed the mesh point at his neck! Fact is, there is a LOT more than just throwing passes for a new QB starter. We dont line up under center, so that is one less, but common issue with new QB/center combos. The other is ball handling. It happened, we won last week, we lost this week. I just hate that so many have knocked ETN for things that were NOT his fault. The pass out of bounds, meh, kid was running hard and maybe he couldnt keep his body in, after all, ND ALSO wanted to knock him out. That one play was not why we lost the game. Go Tigers!
