Absolute stud. Great human being and if any of you guys (and your baseball playing sons) spent 10 minutes with him you would want your son to play for him - especially if they aspire to play it for a living. He will absolutely mop up in recruiting and lets be honest, baseball is all about players just like all the other major sports. He will be just fine and we will see him soon enough.

Hiring him would be the same philosophy on hiring Monte. We needed an experienced coach at a big time D1 school. He's been that for 12 years. He also helped Corbin build his program at vandy. All about recruiting. It's a good hire and he has roots in these parts. Homerun hire imo.

According to all the experts on the board last night he had better talent at UM than us because he’s a great recruiter. If that’s the case looking at the results against their schedule then why would we hire him and pay double what Monte was making?
