Welp, don't see our way into CFP after 21 pt loss even IF

Nov 15, 2022, 11:12 PM

we win ACC. Sorry but TN will slip in when Michigan losses to Bucks..and TCU should handle its business to go to 3rd.

Tigers do not have the horses as in past and it's obvious at many positions and thus if we squeaked in I fear we could get embarrassed.

So, an Orange Bowl game, if we get by Heels, with a big name opponent would be a huge move up from Cheez-it and Iowa State or whoever we played.

Go TiGERS..Jeep ROCKing!

Couldn’t disagree more Bill.

Heavily weighted factors:

Conference championships won
Strength of schedule
Head-to-head competition
Comparative outcomes of common opponents (without incenting margin of victory)

Other relevant factors, such as unavailability of key players and coaches that may have affected a team’s performance during the season or will likely affect its postseason performance

Recall, we had this situation with a 1-loss Ohio State a few years back. Winning your conference is one of the most heavily weighted factors.

Get’s it^

We need a controlling performance against Coots as a common opponent w Tenn to solidify it (and obviously win out).

Expected results:

MI out w loss
TCU out w loss
Alabama out w 2 loss and no conf championship
Need USC to lose to ND
LSU out w 3rd loss

Clemson to peach vs uga
OSU to fiesta vs tenn

I still think we get into CFP

Nov 15, 2022, 11:59 PM

OSU-MICH one of them loses
I don’t think TCU will win out.

If we keep winning, I see Ga, Osu/Mich winner, TN and us

Bank it!

If USC wins out, CFP will definitely take them.***

I agree, don't see it happening and I don't think it should. Biggest game on the schedule vs ND and we shiat the bed.

TCU has to lose, hopefully their conference championship for a chance. TCU wins out, it’s GA, OSU (if they beat Michigan), TCU and TN. USC should lose one more.

Nope....Tigers Win Out They Get In But Need USC and/or TCU

Nov 16, 2022, 9:38 AM

to pick up a loss. Without that happening it will be very hard.

Not sure why its seen as a more desireable outcome for us to get the #4 seed and lose 40-3 to Goergia than to get the #5 seed and have a chance at actually winning a major bowl game against someone else. I can only assume many of our fans missed us getting humiliated against a borderline top 25 team on national TV. If we lack the players and coaches to actually show up for a game like that then we should expect more of the same in a playoff environment.

People who think this way often find a way to also lose in life. Sad attitude-

The big common opponent will be ND. USC & UNC will have played them. it is hard to imagine that either of their losses will look worse than ours.

The only way Clemson makes it is if…TCU and USC lose and if OSU/Michigan game is a blowout…this also assumes Georgia wins out.

The final standings would be:

1) Georgia
2) OSU/MI
3) Tennessee
4) between Clemson & loser of MI/OSU
