Last chance for the men to qualify for the NCAA individual tournament in Orlando in a couple weeks. Romain Gales has already qualified.


We have Bladelius, Vukadin, Markov and Cherie Ligniere all trying to grab on of the last spots from the east sectional. The sectional is the Carolina, Atlantic, New England and Northeast region combined.

Six players out of the 32 player draw will qualify for the NCAAs.

Vukadin lost to UNC freshman Mayew, who also beat Markov in the regionals.


So it's up to Bladelius to see if a second Tiger can join Gales at the NCAAs

Bladeluis made it to Saturday's quarterfinals, facing UNC's Roan Jones (Alabama transfer who won ITA sectional last year & made NCAA tourney)

Women's team has a player alive, as Ria Bhakta made the QFs as well: she faces off against NC State's Gabriella Blackfoot (ITA Doubles champ last yr, ITA Doubles A-A earlier this year)

Quarterfinal wins tomorrow send these 2 Tigers to NCAA Singles Tournament automatically. If either lose, then they drop to a consolation round to determine final 2 qualifiers (or that's my understanding)
