First off this was not a typical year for us in any sense of the word. Sure the loss to Georgia stung, but it was not a back breaker. But after last year's take down in Atlanta, struggling to beat Tech at home should have been a sign of things to come, but it was a conference game and maybe we should have expected a closer game than the S.C. State. But there was ,IMO, no excuse for what followed. And I am not going into that. But here you go ,jumping past tonight's game like it doesn't matter and then talking about our bowl game as if it was nothing but an exhibition. Well as Dabo puts it the only game that matters is tonight and I expect Dabo is not taking anything for granted like you seemed to because you didn't even mention it. As far as the bowl game I want the highest ranked team we can get because we need to see how we stack up against higher ranked opponents so the coaching staff can gauge what to look for in 2022.
To me, they are games that just suck up bandwidth from Basketball ...
However, if the NCAA adopts my proposal for the new Football Format, MANY of these Bowl will become relevant.
On The Table: 16 Team Playoff, winner of each FBS Conference Auto Bid (10) + 6 wildcard teams. Of course who plays who in initial round is based on ranking 1 vs 16, 2 vs 15, 3 vs 14 yada yada and yada
16 teams means 8 games first round = 8 bowl sites 4 games second round or "quarters" = 4 bowl sites 2 games semi = 2 bowl sites 1 game Championship = 1 bowl site
FIFTEEN BOWLS GAMES BECOME RELEVANT. Without writing a book, do the math ... viewership and revenue skyrocket
