Past Celebrity Guest Pickers?
Sep 21, 2015, 1:32 PM
|
|
Trying to think back who has been our Guest Pickers when Gameday has come to Clemson-
Eric Stonestreet- Guy from Modern Family who was the AT&T spokesman, sucked to see the guest picker go to a extended AT&T commercial in my opinion.
Bill Murray- Awesome pick, lives in Charleston & son went (or still goes) to Clemson.
Any others that I'm missing?
I'm hoping for Brian Dawkins, that'd be a good one or of course I'd put a call in to see if Danny Ford's available.

Seems of late, the guest pickers no longer have an affiliate with the host university. It seems they are using the guest as a promotional spot...like the guests on Fallon and Kimmel...to create awareness of a musician's new album, or actor's TV show or movie, etc. Hence, should GD come to Clemson, we are hearing Kevin Spacy for his role as an SC senator in House of Cards.

What about Steven Colbert? Originally from SC and just got a new gig with his late night talk show, could be a good promotion for him and also Clemson if he mentions his "amazing trip to tiger town" on his next show.

I was looking at the NFL teams schedules, trying to find a bye for 10/4.. Unfortunately, we have too many guys on NFL rosters - it gets a bit confusing...
I do see where Houston is playing @ Atlanta on 10/4. Not sure how that would work, but Nuk could make the picks and still be back in time for curfew (or whatever they have) in Atlanta that Saturday evening.
That's my first choice!

that would have been a great pick when his show was on. I don't think many people would know who is today.

Decided to google "famous Clemson alumni" to see who came up

The first article I clicked on was titled "famous Clemson alumni", I could not believe the first two names on their list. John Edwards and Dolph Lundgren! Neither are alumni of Clemson, although both apparently breifly attended Clemson.
This article had Nancy Odell #3 and amazingly, Gaines Adams #4, ahead of numerous other athletes. Probably our most famous alumnus, Strom Thurmond, was way down at #36. Unbeleivable.

Donald Trump's attorney and right hand man during the apprentice - he's a Clemson grad. Maybe he and/or The Donald could show up to prognosticate.
