Georgia Tech: Athletic director Todd Stansbury, who officially took the reigns earlier this week, issued a vote of confidence in head coach Paul Johnson today, saying, “There’s nobody out there that wants to play us. That tells a lot about the state of the program and fear that opposing coaches have of our head coach,” according to the AJC. Stansbury also added that he and Johnson talked earlier this week about what needed to be done to continue to build the program and noted “My goal, what I hope to bring to the table, is to help provide him with what he needs to continue that success, build on that success, so that we can continue to compete at a highest level.”

No one in bowl season wants to spend the time to prepare for the triple option when they won't get to use that ever again in another game. Doesn't that they are scared to play them or will lose but you know that's a pretty good spin.

Believe me. The new AD already knows that Tech is not as commited to football as Clemson, UGA, FSU, etc. He knows it. CPJ knows it, too, and has all but said that exact thing in so many words.
I would love to see what CPJ could do if he had 4-star talent. But he doesn't have that, and never will. Tech will never be the kind of school that can recruit at that level. Given our limits, we've done OK. Maybe the new AD will help in that regard. But I've seen this act before.
