Granted we would have lost our First Round Game . . . but it wouldn’t have been nearly as embarrassing as losing at home to Morehead.

Brad could have declined the NCAAT offer like UNC declined the NIT, so we wouldn't be embarrassed by a loss in the first round of play-in games. It would be much better to have a first round win in the NIT as a #1 seed and show off our talent on our home court instead of a loss on a foreign court in the NCAAT.
Oh wait a sec, I think that plan may have backfired if went that route.

If we get one, whether or not we are competitive in the first game, we should be happy to have had the chance.
The NCAAs are the goal. The NIT is the disappointment.

It is somewhat embarrassing; I had some people over this weekend that don't even follow basketball and they even brought up us losing to Morehead. However, they thought Morehead was located on the coast of North Carolina somewhere. I didn't correct them because I didn't really know where it was either and I just wanted to change the subject.
