Bringing Christianity into it is classic far left ridiculousness.

While organized religion has nothing to do with it, the worship of guns by a large segment of the population most certainly does play into this.
We seem to have a fascination with guns in the United States. Why?

It's an embracement of a lifestyle that's guaranteed by an amendment, thus the passion and fervor runs higher. It's the same with journalists and the First Amendment.

well, we are the most religious of all of the industrialized nations, and the most violent. I am sure that is just a coincidence and that all we need are more religion and guns to fix this problem.

IDK, it seems like the most religions countries are also the most violent. I mean Enlightenment was 350 years ago, and here we are, still, having this discussion on machines hundreds of miles away from one another.

Church infrastructure and the communal

bonds it creates between people, along with the therapeutic nature of religious worship, has pretty solid anthropological benefits in our society. And to T3s point, there is an undeniable anti-social commonality of mass shooters where a good argument for the importance of social ties like religious community can and should be made.
Outside of the Atlanta shooter, I don't think you can argue that Christianity is a cause for mass shootings. The inverse of that, however, is a different story.

having strong communal bonds as well as economic certainty are the two most important determinants in preventing crime, agree 100%. But you do not need religion for strong communal bonds. Unfortunately, and this is true of almost all of the shooters who were loners, we have backed ourselves into a corner in communicating on our phones and computers via social media, and less at community gatherings. Certainly the church can provide this venue, but in a lot of cases, not all, it teaches intolerance, and that leads to hate, which leads to violence. most hate crimes against the trans community are perpetrated by so called Christians, 50 years ago these same people would have lynched you in the name of Christianity. Most white supremists identify as Christian, they use the bible to rationalize their beliefs. So we are going to have to part ways that more religion means less violence, I would argue the opposite and that it divides us more than it unites us.

I think you touch upon the real crux of the problem

The problem people, like, the white nationalists, identify as Christian, but they aren't Christians. They clearly have no understanding of the Gospel and the teachings of Christ.
We have people on this very board who claim to be that then spout all sorts of garbage that goes against the teachings of Christ.
So I don't like to identify Christianity as a problem here because the people and churches who are actually following the lessons of Christ aren't even close to dabbling in this kind of behavior.
But therein lies the problem. Finding a way to separate them from the ones who claim to be Christian because they think they're supposed to.

Now that’s not true. It’s either we are the most violent or the portrayed to be most violent. They literally have videos cutting peoples heads off with pocket knives in Central America.

"The View" is still on the air??

Hard to believe a show that is hosted by creosote filled gas bags bloviating about things for which they have no clue is still on the air. I don't know who is more stupid - "The View" hosts or the people that watch it...
