We need to add Yale and Princeton to the ACC today

Since 1869 Yale and Princeton have a combined 32 national championships

Current League Count in national championships is
Big Ten: 37
SEC: 30
ACC: 18

We add those to schools to the conference we jump to 50!

My Dad used to say the AP writers would always cheat us. Big Ten with 37 national titles, yeah right.

My family lived near Princeton for awhile after I left home.

I visited a bar there (think it was called Tiger Den) and on the wall saw a plaque/article describing how Princeton football was the first to have "wings" on their helmets (like Michigan). Princeton helmets have orange wings.

This was done to help the QB identify their receivers since most teams wore helmets with similar colors back in the day.

Idk how true that is, but thought it was cool.

if the Ivies haven't had the right perception about athletics all along.

You don't hear them mentioned in the mix hardly at all other than a rare snippet about the NIL. The reason? Education over athletics. They don't play bowl games nor compete for national titles any more. Their fans simply go to (largely) regional games against long-established rivals, and after normal season's end, that's it.

Imagine that! Education over athletics! What a unique concept.........!
