No. The big 12 champ would jump to 12 spot. Another question is if SMU beat Miami in championship game, Miami would not drop below us. They won't penalize for a title game appearance. The chair actually said that 2 weeks ago. I think??

If we beat South Carolina and Miami losses we only have to beat SMU in Charlotte to make the playoffs. This would almost certainly lock up a bye in the first round of the playoffs. If Miami wins and we sneak into the Playoffs, we are surely going to play on the road in a hostile environment. Wanna go play Penn St or OSU on the road or play for a bye? Arguments can be made for both scenarios. I think the easier game would be SMU in Charlotte.

I read on ESPN we would be the first team out of the playoffs. The big 12 champ is going to be ranked behind us and get in as the 12 seed. We would need a little help to get in if we win this weekend. Maybe a 2 loss SEC team in front of us lose in the SEC championship game. Or Notre dame lose to USC.

Jump a Miami team that enters the ACCCG at 11-1 and 5-6 spots higher in the CFP rankings while Clemson is sitting at home at 10-2?
Put another way…if both Miami and SMU finish 11-1 and ahead of Clemson in the CFP rankings and ACC standings, why should the loser drop behind a 2-loss Clemson with a loss?
