Clemson has to be the only team with a rival that could get 30-0 curb-stomped at home by a crippled offense that couldn't throw the ball. Then have the confidence to talk smack and think they stand a chance at winning in Death Valley this upcoming season. How can you have so much faith in a bunch of benchwarmers you got from the portal? I wonder if GT fans talk smack to UGA fans?

Probably not bc, I assume that an average GT alumni fan base are smarter than the average coot alumni fan base. But the non alumni fans for both school can come from any trailer park on both sides of a dirt road

South Carolina's rival is Clemson. Clemson's rivals are not South Carolina. They are Georgia and Ohio State.

like we can choose whoever we want to rival. Might as well make them national spotlight teams and play them every year. We could make $millions by winning those games.

Some truth in what you say. I live in northern Ohio, and I can tell you Clemson is more in the collective OSU skull than Michigan presently, and has been for at least 5 years.

after Michigan beat them last year? I am seriously doubting that. I would think playing UM this year is foremost on their minds.

Ohio State's real rival is Michigan. They don't give a crap about a rivalry with Clemson. They are just a post season opponent Clemson had.

I live in Columbia. They craziness is in full force. If the ball bounces their way, they go 6-6. Not one of those 6 wins will include UGA, Clemson, or Texas A&M.

72 - 42 - 4 Maybe it should not be called a rivalry.

This is why Clemson vs UGA isn't a rivalry. SC has a higher winning pct. against Clemson than Clemson has against UGA.

At what point do games played 100 years ago stop factoring in? Seriously.
To be consistent we would have to all agree on the greatest program in history…Yale. And the greatest football conference in history? Yep, everyone knows it’s the Ivy League.

Where was this observation when the guy posted about the all-time record between Clemson and SC? Do those games from long ago, which largely favor Clemson, count?

It’s stupid no matter who does it. Just bragging rights, doesn’t mean anything.
What happened in 1900 has zero to do with today.
Unless you agree that Yale is the greatest football program in history.

the 2 teams were playing under a different set of eligibility rules. That’s not the case with Clemson and USC. And without doing the math, I’d say our Win % is probably the same or higher vs UCS since they joined the SEC than it is alltime against them. We’ve dominated them in both old times and new times

I ditched the coots as a rival and replaced them with FSU.Now that's getting stale. If Dabo keeps it up I'll come to regard football season like a 'Bama fan.
