Stirring the pot... With Radakovich coming from GT, and GT

being rumored as a top target of the B1G, interested in how his hire could be helpful for us from an expansion perspective.
He certainly would have had insight as to GT's view on the ACC, as well as GT's potential with the B1G.
Seems like he's in the know as to how the dominoes might fall, which can't hurt us.
With a settlement appearing imminent between MD and the ACC, this is about to get interesting again I would expect.

why would we move? ACC is on the rise. Big 10 big 12 on the slide. Unless it is to the SEC and that does not appear to be a possibilty!

He made a comment in late December that someone

would be appointed at Clemson whose only job is to "closely monitor teams and conferences as they realign". So at least he's not playing dumb and pretending like there is nothing to it. I am not suggesting that we will ever leave the ACC, but Radakovich is acknowledging the possibility at some point.

I also wonder if he would have left GT for Clemson if he saw

GT as a viable target for the B1G.
Granted Clemson was the bird in the hand at the time, but it does suggest that neither school is on the verge of a major move.

It will be interesting to see what happens if GT and UVA

bolt for the Big 10. If that happens, you know the SEC will swoop in to take Virginia Tech. What does Clemson do? Stay pat? I got to believe that if FSU voted against the exit fee, they have a course of action in mind. Can Clemson football thrive in a watered down ACC? The ACC may not resemble anything like today, in 2014.

rumors been true. The ACC has proven itself stable. Look what the B1G got UMD(ACC upgraded with UofL) and Rutgers , a big east bottom feeder ,only rose to the top after the ACC took the rest of Big East teams that were better than them. Of course the SEC homers wish it would fail, it won't happen. No one's going anywhere.

conference expansion. No one expected Maryland to bolt from the ACC. If it does happen that those 4 schools, I mentioned, bolt, I don't think there's any doubt how Clemson responds, is going to be interesting to watch.
