By 2019 we will probably be down to Trevor Lawrence and potentially one other guy from among our current crop.
If we don't take a really good QB in 2019 we'll be in bad shape down the road.

The problem is ... you can't see the problem.
Trevor will be gone after the 2020 season.
All the QBs presently on our roster will be gone by then too.
So, by all means, let's not concern ourselves with signing a QB in the 2019 class.

We've got a 5-star QB sitting on our bench, the top HS QB in the country arriving on campus tomorrow! IMHO, having seen a whole lot film on him, I think he will be the best QB ever to ever play at Clemson. Yeah, I've heard the BS about Willy Korn, but Korn is nowhere near this guy's class. My question is this: Can we recruit and train offensive linemen who can or will block anybody of any class? At this point, apparently not. And some of these slow-footed lard-asses are talking about going onto the NFL?? What NFL are they talking about.

6'1" but can throw and run. They listed him as a Pro-Style QB because he's white (opposite of what they do to black QBs... same type of prejudice), but he is a beast running the ball and has some serious wiggle. I like this offer.

Again, please someone enlighten me. Why are we recruiting another QB? With the total defeat of our OL by Alabama, don't we really need to be recruiting people who can block somebody?

Hair?? Have you noticed that he (Trevor Lawrence) can run and pass over and above the best of them? So preference? That we continue with a QB who can't pose any vertical threat beyond ten yards, or go with the number one HS player in the country? I like KB and wish him well. But, the idea that he will ever ever play in the NFL is laughable. One or two of those ill-advised runs, and he would be crushed by huge NFL linebackers. Let's get back to reality.

We have three on hand for the next three years after KB leaves. We should still have Hunter Johnson, Chase Brice, and Trevor Lawrence. It's hardly fair for them to offer a guy that ultimately will not see a single snap of college football at Clemson. I'd trade three of our QBs right now for three more offensive linemen that can pancake defenders. We will draw in good defensive players simply for having Brent Venables. We will draw in great WRs and good running backs simply because we are Clemson. I think our next recruiting cycle effort should be spent on offensive linemen that can destroy a defender. I will say this much though, Josh Belk looked like a beast against those elite offensive linemen during the Army Game.
