I don't think a healthy A. Bryant beats out Wilkins @ DE now

The staff had no clue that Wilkins would be this good at DE. It only makes since to have Watkins, Big Dex and Wilkins on the line together as much as possible since those are clearly our best D-lineman. Dabo has already said that Bryant won't be gifted the starting DE spot once he's back healthy and that the best guy will start. Ferrell is really starting to come on as well. Unless Bryant has turned into Kevin Dodd since last year, I don't see him getting that starting spot back this year unless there is an injury. He'll still play plenty though providing depth at both DE spots. Some of Register and Yeargin's snaps likely take a hit.

His size and speed is a nightmare for college guards.

Now, I realize there is a lot of new math out there these days, but...how do four guys run a 5 set?

1,235 pounds, it's like you have 5 guys on the line and 12 overall. Could be illegal. We'll have to find out.

Don't forget, Bryant has high draft pick upside as well. I'd rather see Wilkins rotating both inside and outside, especially if we keep running the 34 like we've done this year quite a bit. No question that we have the personnel for it between Wilkins, Lawrence, Watkins, Huggins, and Ferrell.

One thing is for sure - you could tell a difference in our defense when Wilkins is taking a breather on the sideline - he is a beast and nightmare for opposing teams. Wilkins is one of my favorite players on the team - seems to be a great person with a funny sense of humor that will do anything to make the team better.

between Yeargin, Ferrell, Watkins, Bryant, Pagano, Wilkins, Big Dex, and even Huggins. Just send one group in, tell them to breathe fire for 4 snaps, and then swap out. The talent is there to do just that if we wanted. We is TOO DEEP.
