We are averaging 12.5 points per game this year

in regulation against FBS teams.
We scored 3 against Georgia, who has given up 7 to UAB, 10 to Auburn, and 13 to South Carolina. They shut out Arkansas and Vanderbilt.
We scored 14 against Georgia Tech, who has given up 22 to Northern Illinois, 17 to Kennesaw State, 22 to North Carolina, 52 to Pittsburgh, and 27 to Duke.
We scored 14 against NC State in regulation, and 21 total (7 in OT). NC State has given up 24 to Mississippi State, 7 to Furman, and 27 to Louisiana Tech. They shut out USF.
We scored 19 against Boston College, who has given up 28 to UMass, 3 to Temple, and 34 to Missouri. They shut out Colgate.
We are all aware that our offense this year has been bad, but I’m even more disappointed now that I’ve looked at the other teams that have scored more against these opponents than we have.
We play Syracuse next Friday night. The Orange gave up 9 to Ohio, 17 to Rutgers, 24 to Albany, 21 to Liberty, 33 to Florida State, and 40 to Wake Forest (34 in regulation). We should be able to break 20 against them, if not 30. However, we all know how tough the Carrier Dome has been for us at times recently.
I know that our coaches are getting back to the fundamentals this week and next. Here’s to our team having a renewed sense of confidence and precision next weekend. Go Tigers!

I really just hope our team goes out and plays loose. They seem tight every play. Some of that comes from the play calling for sure...but the players gotta make plays and so far they just aren't (injuries not helping obviously).
That said, if Tony can't adapt and adjust then Dabo must intervene and make some changes.
I'm looking forward to see how the team plays in NY on Friday as I think it will be indicative as to what to expect the rest of the season. I still have faith.

As I’ve said before, I don’t think he knows how to fix it right now, but I believe he will in time.
It will be interesting to see how we do the rest of the way. I expect us to improve.

But rest assured, if our basketball team had top talent and was ranked near the bottom in offense you better believe I would be upset about it.

1) UGA’s defense was just too good for out struggling o line. ~ TE~
2) against SC state we rotated line a bazillion guys! ~ TE~
3) GT ran some kind of ultra secret, “sneaky trap “ defense thingy! ~TE~
4) NC state we was just 1 foot and 1 play away ! ~ Tommy Bowden~ ; Cited by ~TE~
5) Offense is right on track, nothing to see here ~TE~

I know TE is a nice guy, and apparently very smart. I’m just not sure he’s up for the Championship level running of an offense. He would make a great head coach at a UCF, App St school as long as he too hired a great offensive coordinator. Question is do we have a HC with the goal of winning football or being a nice guy and friend. It’s been a while since anyone has been fired and I don’t think it comes easy to Dabo.

Not counting the sc st game (cupcake) we have only thrown 1 touchdown outside our scripted first 2 drives. We are garbage and it's hilarious people think they "will turn it on" anytime now. Worst offense we've had in 30 years.

We all saw what Ross did in 2018, what DJ did last year, and ej did last year, what ngata flashes this year, and we all hope that they can just ALL put it together. We have talent on offense that’s why it’s been such a frustrating year. Yes the oline ain’t the best but outside of Georgia the pass protection ain’t been bad. It’s just jaw dropping that we haven’t had more success with players that have already had success. I’m shocked our receivers haven’t slipped away for a long TD on a short pass. We just haven’t had nothing.

It’s truly impossible to understand how we are so bad

With so much talent.
It’s coaching for sure, but also horrible execution by players at every offensive position.
My guess is we will have two wasted seasons before Dabo makes any structural changes.
Our recruiting will suffer and we’ll have to climb the mountain again. I hope I’m wrong…

I know many people here are convinced that Dabo will fire Elliott

after this season. I’m not convinced.
I think Dabo really likes Tony. I also think Dabo is heavily involved in the offense.
I believe Dabo sees our offensive issues as mostly about poor player execution and not about game planning or scheme. He will look at our successes in previous years and use that as a reason to keep Elliott.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Caldwell retires or is reassigned. But that will likely be it.

Lol. There’s no way Elliot will be fired after the season. Even if we don’t score another point the rest of the year he’s not getting fired.

Yep. Truthfully, it’s hard to point straight at TE when you see no push on the OL, and DJU staring down receivers, and throwing 10 ft over their heads.. then when they make him throw to a spot, the WR runs the wrong route.
What I truly want to understand is why we never use tight ends? I wish a real football guy on here would explain why we don’t do what every other team does and hits a TE up the middle or on a cross? I think Davis has great hands and could be a great weapon.
