that 13 was going to be "the" season. It really has lived up to the billing with a couple of unexpected surprises. If nothing else its been entertaining.
While it appears we are on solid ground to move forward I can't help but have a feeling sadness to see such a special group of guys play their last few games.
I hope that they embrace their last 2 runs down the hill into the sea of orange. I also hope that the sea of orange realizes that seasons like this have been few and far between and its a group like this that helped us scale back up that hill toward reclaiming our rightful spot as one of the countries best programs.

program's come since the TB days. Now, we tend to act like it's a failed season if we lose one game.

That means we are setting our expectations higher (where we believe they should have been all along). This is what I remember from when I was growing up - being a very, very good team which nobody really felt good about playing.

We're on our way back to that level. Hopefully we keep that trajectory and climb to the top of that mountain once again...

just never had the overall talent nor the depth to reach that threshold. We are at that place now.

Obviously, you were not around between 1978-1990. Way more talent and depth than now, especially on the defensive side.

I was around and remember it well. My remarks really were aimed at the fairly recent history. Primarily since FSU has joined the conference. I know they have struggled for a while like we have but they also had more recent success.
While they rolled us this year I truly don't think it is indicative of how good they are and how good we are. We played horrible that day and they were lights out.
