how the hell is Tennessee getting all these recruits?

Especially considering all the coaching turmoil over the last couple seasons...
2013 - 5-7 (2-6) Wins over Austin Peay, Western Ky, S. Alabama, S. Carolina, and Kentucky
2012 - 5-7 (1-7) Wins over NC State, Ga State, Akron, and Kentucky
2011 - 5-7 (1-7) Wins over Montana, Cincinnati, Buffalo, and Vandy
2010 - 6-7 (3-5) Wins over UT Martin, UAB, Memphis, Old Mrs, Vandy, Kentucky
2009 was their last winning season, at 7-6
2007 was their last season w/ winning conference record

Some of these kids just want to play in the SEC and they don't care where

For the bad schools this is an advantage and disadvantage in cycles. Except for Bama Georgia and LSU all the recruits see is $EC and they get some and lose some. There is no real lasting attraction. Except for the in state kids.

funny that's the same thing other fanbases say about us. How about because they have some of the best facilities in the country, are one of the top 10 winningest programs of all time, have one of the best and biggest stadiums in the country, a coach who can recruit, and a passionate fanbase. Shocking why a kid would want to go there. How about giving credit where credit is due. Clemson was for me but it's not for everyone.

as, "Escorts" for 4 and 5 * recruits. They have great facilities at UT, but if you're a highly regarded recruit that can see immediate PT that can be a big factor. UT's program has plenty of history that's down right now, so the big time recruits have a chance to play on a big stage early. Oh yea, and the escort thing could sway a 17 year old man quickly. Personally, I never understood why they got rid of Fulmer. That guy could recruit athletic talent, unfortunately he could not recruit O and D coordinators toward the end of his career at UT.

Tenn is pumping SEC hard and they hired Thigpen.

They are cheating their ### off and nothing will be done. Malone was on the freaking sidelines for the KC/Denver game. How does Clemson compete with that on the level? What about all the SEC handlers that show up at the 11tb hour?

May be paid...I don't know and neither do these other folks.
I'd say bc of a new staff and the promise of hope, the SEC brand, a 100,000 seat stadium at a school wint tons of tradition and a very rabid and large fanbase, about the nicest facilities around and bc its in the SEC.
They did a nice job of getting top notch TN kids to play at UT. Makes sense on those guys.

the state of Tennessee puts out about 5 decent D-1 players a year. And they are usually from Memphis, about a 6 hour drive from Knoxville.

this year though there happens to be 10-15 high BCS offer talent and most of them are in the Middle TN area.
Nashville has become a very good football area and has as much if not more talent than Memphis now.

That Malone was probably getting that SEC love and how he was on the sidelines on MNF or whenever and his reply was, "Of course were gonna pay him. We're in the SEC." And no this isn't some BS either we had this conversation last night.
