losing 15 pounds because I had gotten up to 220 after hurting my knee again and from the arthritis in my spine...Well, about the time I committed, I got a cold, that turned into the cough from...anyway, a cough that lasted THREE MONTHS. Was coughing 400 to 500 times a day and it was exhausting. Took steroids, antibiotics, went to an allergy specialist.etc.etc. By the time it was over with I was 225 and when I went back to running and working out it had been 4 months. Well, then I hurt my knee again because I did not do any exercises to strengthen it before starting back up and down the steps. But, I kept up with a lot of your ENROLLEES progress and last October or November went back to an Orthopedist who exrayed my knee and said I needed to just start walking on an elevated treadmill. I said,Bulls.......NOT READY FOR THAT...!!!". So, the next day I went to see a physical therapist who gave me some exercises just for my knee. I did them religiously for about a month...and then went to the track...I made it up and down 4 times! It has taken a while, but I have finally gotten back to my old self and today I weighed in at 205.6

Thanks for your challenge....next goal...200 lbs...

That was a great challenge that really helped some people.

2k® discussed his success with his weight loss and health goals.

At 64, I try to stay about 195, give or take a few. Topping 200 causes sluggishness. And the extra weight causes joint issues as I've had RA since 2005.

I track steps on on my iphone app and like to get over 10k. I walk around the neighborhood for some cardio. At work I like to walk fast to get there quicker for efficiency and to raise the heart rate a little besides just from coworker annoyance.

So I'll raise a glass or pop a top to good health if that's not a health hypocrisy.

That's a lot of coughing. Do you think it was something you were taking that ultimately cleared up the cough, or did it just run its course naturally?

Sometimes the road to the truth is so elusive it's confusing and reality becomes illusion.

Just ran its course I think. I could not even stand to look at pollen on a car..

The first three days of every month this year. I was 245 last fall and started a carnivore diet New Year’s Eve and I’ve lost down to 202 at my lowest but try to stay between 202 and 207.

I feel better too, I’m going to go down to 190-195 by November.

It’s just having a mindset of enjoying the diet and fasting.
Intermittent fasting has worked really well for me too.

I do enjoy steaks 🥩 but every now and then having some homemade Banana Pudding nice to for a treat.

Fasting is where it’s at. Other benefits beyond weight loss like autophagy. Starting doing longer ones (6-7 days) a year ago every 3 months and down 30 lbs (still need another 20-30 to get back to college weight though). Started a 4 day on Sunday and shooting for another 4-5 to keep off. Congrats to all who are fighting the good fight on fatness!

Good job and good luck gowing forward Spud. How long do you run steps for and what is typical calorie burn?

Trying to get below 220 ( was 240 prior to munjoro) but tried to do it without "cheating"

then run up and down the steps 20 to 24 times and then walk another half mile to a mile. Trying to get back to 40. Maybe by the end of the season.Today, I lifted for about 30 minutes and then went to the track. But I swear,as you get older, if you injure something, you have to wait three or four weeks for it to heal...and when you start back, YOU BETTER TAKE IT EASY...or you will injure something else and the process starts over.

as promised, my goal was only 15 pounds down to 185 and reached that by merely cutting portions every meal and no evening snacks - think I went to bed hungry every night as a result. Have gained about half of the weight back since January after hunting season ended. Vary from 190 to 192 lately.

sitting heart rate is between 55-58, and blood pressure stays around 114-118 over 68-70. Now, when I hit those steps and it is 95 degrees my heart rate jumps up to 160...but is back down to 90 or less in about four or five minutes..sso...I guess I will keep getting after it...My goal is to be able to drag my kayak over those rocks until I am at least 75.....

I plan to use my tree climber again this year at 77. Of course, all I do is carry it into the woods, hook it to a tree and sit down, stand up over & over

Waded the Catawba as a kid - couldn’t swim - no life jacket- below the damm far enough that we never knew when they would be releasing water. Lucky I didn’t drown

siren goes off,it is an unnerving feeling.....If they open two or three gates it is very dangerous if you haven't moved on down the river....But,I am afraid my river fishing this year may be done. If it doesn't stop raining in the next week to ten days, it is gonna be too cold before the river clears up...

I got caught just below the Wateree damm on the wrong side of side of the river when the water was released- that was the only time I ever fished there!
