Interesting Stats Comparing Our QBs. (Link)

It's amazing how many screen passes we throw. I knew it was a lot, but it's just interesting.
Friend of mine texted this to me. I assume it's accurate. Watson should work on his 11-15 yd range! Of course 1 of those was a drop on Saturday.

The Key stat here is yards/attempt. Watson is way higher. If Stoudt is going to be successful he has to have higher yards/attempt.

So what your saying is tht his three incompletions are.
1. Obvious PI on hopper in the Georgia game
2. Bad route or overthrown to Kitt in the Georgia game
3. A drop in the State game

AS using a basketball blockout on what looked more like a punt than a pass

Well you remember a little wrong. It was certainly thrown under the defense. I didn't love the throw but i didn't love a lot of Tajh's throws when they came out of his hands that turned into TDs. Guess you forgot Hopper bailed out Stoudt even better twice. Catching an under thrown ball around a defender in the Georgia game and breaking up an INT in State game.

Makes it even worse when you think about people defending Stoudt's completion percentage in the UGA game.

If people are going to grow all the what if's. I can name at least 2 in the first half of UGA game that Cole threw & hit receivers in the chest (both these on third & long, that would have kept drives alive) that are showing as incompletions in his stats. But he stinks, I know

You're right. Peake was interfered with as well. But those things even out. Watson has a should have been wiped out by PI and a drop on his ledger too.

wow, you guys are statistical wizards,

but apparently context is just a little outside the reach of your mental capacities.
Let's see: all but 4 of DW's passes were against SC State; a full 29 (50%) of CS's throws were against UGAY - a slightly different defense.
Further, to highlight the abysmal field position of the 2nd half and the lack of plays around him, Stoudt only threw 9 passes in the 2nd half against UGAY after 20 in the first half. He went 7 for 9 - but only for 39 yards. That's not putting it downfield like in the 1st half. Of course, when the DL is teeing off on you the whole 4th quarter, it's a bit hard to get the passes out. DW was 0-1 in the 4th.
And since you're so into whining about the WR's, Stoudt had 3 dropped passes in the 10+ yards range dropped in the first 3 drives against UGAY. More than one coach suggested Peake's drop could have been a TD. Williams dropped 2 worth 25 yards to kill another drive.
It's as simple as this guys..you're getting all worked over DW killing SC State, yet I seem to remember Stoudt going 19-20 against them as a backup last year. Whatever.
Tell you what... take the weekend off this Saturday... let the brain rest a bit... go see some of your brethren at the movies. I hear Dawn of the Planet of the Apes could be informative...
