He didn't end up being right. He said that after Clemson lost to Alabama in 2017. Clemson went to three more playoffs. And the second part of the quote was that "South Carolina is cycling in." Have you seen their record?

He wasn’t right at all. We weren’t cycling out then, not even close. He’d be right if he’d said “one day ten plus years from now Clemson will cycle out.”

Ellis was not right. We won 8 in a row over usuck after he said that. However, we did begin cycling out 5 years ago down an oily bannister.
