Looks like there’s a good chance we would play on Sat. Dec. 27.
ACC has 5 bowl games that day.
- Gator vs SEC
- Pop Tart vs Big 12
- Fenway vs AAC
- Pinstripe vs Big 10
- Military vs AAC
Other options…
- Sun vs old PAC 12 (Dec. 31)
- Duke’s Mayo vs SEC (Jan. 2)
- Holiday vs old PAC 12 (Jan. 2)
There are three other possibilities that
are there, depending on how many are eligible, etc.
- Birmingham (Dec. 29)- AAC or SEC
- First Responder (Dec. 26)-
- Gasparilla (Dec. 19)- AAC or SEC
Looks like ACC will have 11 or 12 bowl eligible teams.
UVA, GT, Miami, Pitt, SMU, Louisville, Wake, Duke, Clemson (assuming), Cal.
NCSU & FSU play each other, so one of them for sure, but maybe both if the loser beats their rival.
A couple of other things:
- 1 will likely go to the playoff. It might be ridiculous, but if Miami wins out, they may go to the playoff without playing in the conference championship game. I suppose there’s an outside chance the ACC gets 2 in…like if GT won out as well.
- Notre Dame likely going to playoff, so they won’t take a bowl.
- Cal can also occupy on old ‘PAC 12’ spot in the bowls, if it works out that way.

If we have to venture into the mid to lower bowl tiers…it’d be nice to play out west.
Holiday Bowl also would be fun.
I think a 7-5 Clemson team would be looked upon favorably in the bowl selection process.
6-6…who knows?

I’m just glad we’re going bowling after the way the season has gone. Idc if it’s the lowest tier bowl, there’s a chance to add to the trophy case and that would be a good springboard into next year.

Unless you are a player that comes from nothing. Some of these guys have ut hard growing up and getting to travel and do somethings that they've never done before. Bowls are for the players and fans period. I love watching every single nowl game. I hope they never stop.

Not everybody. The Shamecocks won’t be getting one or even having the chance to play for one. I’m thankful we get 1 more Clemson game this year and have the extra practices and prep for next season.

SoCal won't make the playoffs so they are a possibility in the Sun Bowl
