always wondered about Tyshon Dye

Dye has had a very severe lingering back injury and an Achilles injury, two potentially career-ending injuries that can both rob you of your movement and pop, and I've always wondered if we'd just never seen (or were ever going to see) the real Tyshon Dye at Clemson.
It's easy to forget, but Dye was a Georgia high school legend, and a guy more than a couple observers thought was one of the top backs out of the state of the last 5-10 years or so. Again, though, it's hard to show that if you've never been close to 100%.
Be interesting if he's been running at 60 or 75% the last year or so and he's just now starting to get close to 100%. We may yet see that guy who was a high-end 4-star per most all of the recruiting services.
Love to see that. Be a huge boost for us.

I have said this before about Dye. His HS coach said he was a great RB but LB was his natural position and he hoped CU could help him see the light. He thought he was an NFL LB prospect but Dye wanted to be a RB. For Dye, I hope we get to finally see his true talent @ 110% on display.

It could get pretty interesting in the backfield for us over the next several years. It's tough to be a RB and come in and shine in limited time. RB is largely a "feel" position and hence most RB's need to get the ball enough to get in a rhythm, much like a passer. Curious to see who steps up. I really think we have 4 who could start at about 95% of schools across the country.
On a side note - You have to love the high school coaches' nod to Hunter Johnson as being the 2nd best QB behind All-World Watson if he were to walk on campus today.

No doubt he is a great HS player and I'm sure his coaches love him........I don't think Cooper will just step aside.

I hear ya. I'm not going to count out him or Kelly Bryant. Hunter Johnson looks like a great get, but so does Chase Brice. And it's going to be tough to beat out Kelly or Cooper. We are set for a while with Joyner coming the year after that.

Gotta love CJ Spiller and his love of Clemson. I got a good laugh about him knowing just a little bit about kickoff returns.

Please only use Fuller as an upback. I think he is a solid player, but it was obvious he has zero chance to take it all the way. I don't think we have to completely trade big play ability for ball security.

I wonder what the kick off return yardage was during the practice. How many TDs were scored, and how many times did the return man make it to the 50 plus yard line???
