Vonn Bell (Rossville, Ga./Ridgeville) is the nation's fifth ranked safety and a four-star recruit according to ESPN Recruiting Nation. Bell's top seven schools are Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, Ohio State, Tennessee, Texas and Vanderbilt.
Ohio State and Tennessee are believed to be the leaders for his services. But, Bell may go against the grain.
"I think I am really going to surprise some people when I make my decision," Bell told Chad Simmons of Scout.com. "Some think they know, but they will be surprised. Nothing is done yet and I still have a lot to look at and think about, but I think could have a big surprise when everything is done."
Bell's comments would indicate that neither Ohio State nor Tennessee would be his leading school at the moment.
The biggest surprise choice among the list would be Vanderbilt. The Commodores are becoming a recruiting force under head coach James Franklin, but it isn't on the same level as the other programs.
